GUY HARNBY
SOFT TISSUE THERAPIST | ACUPUNCTURIST
MY PRACTICE AND APPROACH
Guy joined Dacrelands Clinic in 2022, whilst continuing to study for his Osteopathy degree at The College of Osteopaths. He treats all types of pain and discomfort through the manipulation, articulation and massage of soft tissues throughout the body, whether the problems are caused by either posture, occupation, sport or accident.
Formerly an army officer, Guy served on military operations around the world. He has an interest in the treatment of Traumatic Brain Injuries caused by any form of impact, sometimes resulting in concussion, and which might lead to immobility, pain intensity, reduced quality of life and sleep disorders.
Guy moved from being a career soldier to retraining as a primary school teacher, before pursuing Osteopathy and joining Dacrelands Clinic. He continues to support serving Servicemen and women, as well as veterans, by offering a tailored fee-structure for both serving and retired members of the Armed Forces, including those suffering the effects of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Please share your military links and connections with Guy.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Guy has a Diploma in Soft Tissue Manipulation from the College of Osteopaths, a BA (Hons) in Primary Teaching as well as an MA in Defence Studies from King’s College London.
When not in clinic, Guy can be found either on a Lakeland fell, planting apple trees, tending his bees, or chasing after his badly behaved Icelandic sheep! He loves most sports but tends to watch more than he plays these days!
